Wholesale and Shipping Driver/Assistant 


Job Type: Full-time

Department: Wholesale & Shipping

Location: Lancaster St., Portland, ME

Schedule: 5am-1pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Description: The Wholesale and Shipping Assistant is a morning position, 6am - 2pm and works with the Wholesale Manager and morning bakers to fulfill wholesale and shipping orders. There's also some light baking and final glazing of pastries that occurs.


This position is ideal for someone who is highly detail oriented, works equally well on their own or as part of a team, and has a deep, sincere passion for delicious baked goods. Production experience is a plus but not absolutely essential.

Head Pie Baker

Job Type: Full-time

Department: Bake: Pie

Location: Lancaster St., Portland, ME

Schedule: 1pm - 9pm, Mondays - Fridays

Description: The head pie baker leads our team of sweet and savory pie bakers. They love working as part of a team, can delegate effectively, are highly organized, and are a good communicator, and even better listener.

The position works with and supervises the pie team to craft all aspects of our pies, including fruit fills, pastry creams, pie dough, savory handpies, and much more. This is a full-time position with a steady, dependable schedule: Monday - Friday, 1pm - 9pm.

Qualified candidates will have a passion for baking as well as at least two years of baking experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, a sense of humor and an adherence to cleaning standards. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is required. To maintain the bakery's standards, attention to detail is necessary and expected. Some savory cooking experience is a plus, but not necessary. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule during the holidays depending on needs of the bakery. No worries if you have little experience with pie making—we will provide training.

Cake Baker & Decorator

Job Type: Full-time

Department: Bake: Pie

Location: Lancaster St., Portland, ME

Schedule: 4am - 12pm, Tuesdays - Saturdays

Description: The Cake Baker & Decorator is a team member who has a passion for baking, an eye for design, a talent for cake decorating, excellent communication skills, and enjoys working as part of a team. Responsibilities include: making and baking all cakes, frostings, fillings and decorated cookies, executing - with a steady hand and keen eye - cake designs and custom orders, taking inventory, working with the baking team to maintain quality standards, filling orders and rotating seasonal flavors. This position is required to periodically fill in for the morning bakers; as such, opportunities to cross train in other parts of the bakery are available once an individual has mastered the cake decorator position.

The perfect candidate will have the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and lift 50 lbs. Attention to detail and dedication to maintain quality standards is a must. Creativity and an excellent sense of design is required, but a candidate must also have the ability to execute a customer's request perfectly. Previous decorating experience is a plus, but previous baking experience is required.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the bakery. The cake decorators work early morning shifts, beginning at 4am, but schedules are consistent and dependable.
